News just in! Jubilee party’s deputy chairman David Murathe has resigned from his post.
Murathe has announced his resignation today Sunday January 6,2019.
In a statement sent to media, Murathe had this to say;
” I now find that it is no longer tenable to stay on as the party vice-chairman, given that I will have to sit in the same National Executive Council with a man I am taking to court to block from running for president”
Yesterday Murathe said that he will be moving to supreme court in a bid to block deputy president William Ruto from vying for presidency come 2022.
Murathe argued that it is against the constitution for a deputy president who has served for two terms to run for presidency.
He has since received a lot of criticism from a section of Jubilee leaders.
